About Nancy
Nancy Stordahl is a former educator. She’s been writing candidly about breast cancer, pink ribbon shenanigans, hereditary cancer, loss and grief, pets, and family for over a decade on her popular blog Nancy’s Point.
These days she writes on Substack. She wrote Getting Past the Fear: A Guide to Help You Mentally Prepare for Chemotherapy because she was terrified before starting chemo and couldn’t find the book she needed, so she decided to write it herself.
Her memoir, Cancer Was Not a Gift & It Didn’t Make Me a Better Person, is not the typical rah-rah, I beat cancer and came out a better person memoir. It’s stark, frank, and hauntingly real.
Her newest book, Emerging: Stories from the Other Side of a Cancer Diagnosis, Loss, and a Pandemic is for anyone emerging from a life-altering challenge.
Nancy grew up in Minnesota and currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband David, a tuxedo cat named Ninja, and a feisty Frenchie named Titus. She has three adult children, two grandsons, and a bunch of lovable grand pets.
Can’t wait for us to connect on Substack, too. Subscribe today and all my new articles will be delivered to your inbox!
